Interview with Greenergy One Company Limited

Ahead of Carbon Black World 2026 we spoke to Anansinee Thaboon, Consultant & Chief Commercial Officer at Greenergy One Company Limited.

Q1. Your talk at Carbon Black World 2026 will dive into “Transforming Carbon Black: New Materials and Production Technologies for Sustainable Industries”. A) Why do you think it’s important for others in the industry to hear this message? B) What are some of the key take-aways?

The carbon black industry stands at a crossroads. For more than a century, carbon black has been fundamental to mobility, construction, and manufacturing. Today, however, the global shift toward decarbonization and circular economies is challenging us to rethink how this essential material is produced and applied. Sharing insights on transforming carbon black through new materials, sustainable feedstocks, and advanced production technologiesis vital because it not only highlights emerging innovation, but also underscores our responsibility to accelerate sustainability while maintaining performance and profitability. This message invites every participant to see transformation not as an obligation, but as an opportunity for leadership and growth.

Key take-aways:
  1. Innovation is already reshaping the landscape – from bio-based and circular carbon sources to low-emission reactor designs and process electrification.
  2. Collaboration across the value chain – feedstock suppliers, producers, equipment engineers, and end-users – is the fastest route to scalable sustainability.
  3. Data and digital tools will be central to optimizing production efficiency, quality, and environmental impact.
  4. Market differentiation through sustainability will be a decisive competitive factor in the coming decade.

Q2. What are the main challenges that the industry is facing and how do you think that this conference can address them?

Our main challenges are multi-dimensional:
  • Decarbonizing production while securing reliable, cost-effective feedstocks.
  • Balancing technical innovation with commercial viability.
  • Navigating evolving regulations and meeting transparent reporting expectations.
  • Attracting and developing new talent with skills in chemistry, data science, and digital operations.
Carbon Black World serves as a strategic convening point where we can address these issues collectively. It breaks down silos between technical teams, leadership, investors, and policymakers – fostering alignment around shared priorities. The ideas we debate here often define our direction as an industry for years to come.

Q3. What do you think will be some of the most interesting advancements in materials or processing in the near future?

In the near term, I see three areas gaining real momentum:
  • Circular and renewable feedstocks, including recovered carbon black and certified bio-based oils, will become integral to supply chains.
  • Process electrification and digital transformation - AI-driven control systems and smart sensors - will redefine production efficiency and traceability.
  • Material functionality will expand: conductive, high-purity, and surface-tailored carbon blacks will support growth sectors from EV batteries to advanced polymers.
These aren’t distant possibilities; they’re developments already being scaled across R&D and pilot facilities globally.

Q4. What are you most looking forward to hearing and/or seeing at Carbon Black World 2026?

I am most looking forward to hearing pragmatic discussions around scaling sustainable innovations. We are past the stage of isolated pilots; now the conversation must focus on commercial deployment, cross-industry alliances, and measurable impact.
And I am eager to exchange perspectives with other executives on how we balance near-term business realities with long-term transformation. And most importantly, I look forward to seeing the energy of this community - innovators, engineers, and visionaries - who continue to push this industry toward a more sustainable and successful future.
