What key trends do you see playing out this year for the rCB sector?
The interest from major actors of the tire industry toward rCB, but also toward TPO, is confirmed years after years, being driven by their own commitment toward circularity.
The rCB demand is so high, that attention of these major actors is paid not only to the more advanced and well known solution for ELT recycling, but to all other new solutions. Of course, the rCB quality, the consistency of the rCB/TPO properties produced by these solutions and the de-risking of these new solutions for industrial scaling remain their main concerns. And Axens, as provider of such new ELT recycling solutions, has these points in mind. On the other hand, it is well known toda that the rCB will never be similar to vCB, therefore end users has to make efforts to include rCB into their products (reduce their qualification path, increase their partnership, participate to development...etc). It is a real win-win challenge. And, it is true not only for the tire industry, but for all other CB users and petrochemicals company.
Tell us a bit more about the themes you will be focusing on in your presentation?
Axens is a fresh face this year in terms of speaking at rCB Europe and it will be the first time for us to present our solution for End Of Life tires' recycling based on Solvolysis process. We all know that convincing partners and finding funds remain the keys to drive such ELT's recycling solution at industrial stage. I am going to focus on these three themes:
What are you looking forward to hearing your fellow speakers addressing in November?
Personally, I am a newcomer in this rCB market. I quickly realised that this market involves many players, with who we must interact. Knowing each player, their role, their demands/expectations is very important to build profitable solution and strong partnership. And Recovered Carbon Black Europe looks to be the perfect place for that!
