NEUMAN & ESSER Process Technology specializes in energy efficient mechanical processing equipment. For the recovered Carbon Black industry, NEUMAN & ESSER has developed the ICX grinding system. Due to the mechanical impact grinding principle, the ICX does not require any compressed air for the grinding process. As such the need for a dedicated compressor is eliminated, reducing overall investment, operating cost and maintenance requirements. The ICX is available in a wide range of sizes, covering lab, start-up, and industrial production requirements.
Besides the grinding process, NEUMAN & ESSER has also developed a pelletizing process for ground rCB, such that complete backend solutions can be engineered and delivered, from the pyrolysis char discharge point down to the pelletized and packed rCB product.
A well-equipped test center in Germany is available for rCB grinding and pelletizing trials with customer sample materials.
Established in 2007, ARTIS provides research and development capabilities in a wide range of rubbers and polymers. We offer compound analysis, material testing and solution validation, as well as sour gas ageing facilities. Our aim is to help worldwide industries better understand how materials perform in real applications and manufacturing processes.
Our polymer failure analysis service is supported by compounding and manufacturing facilities; physical testing to measure property performance, and thermal, environmental, and sour gas ageing capabilities for elastomers and other polymer materials, such as plastics, composites and adhesives.
Our experts continue to deliver the depth and breadth of knowledge you would expect from an organisation with over 100 years of history with Avon Protection plc. Our extensive knowledge and innovative research into rubber recycling has delivered ground breaking solutions that broaden the markets for recycled products, as well as increasing the yields, quality and value of rubber pyrolysis processes.
Scandinavian Enviro Systems’ technology is based on patented pyrolysis technology that was invented by Bengt-Sture Ershag in 1994. The first patent application was filed in 1998, and work to design the first pilot plant began the same year. A Swedish method patent was granted in the year 2000. The patent, formally titled “Method for recovery of carbon and combinations of hydrocarbons from polymers, preferably in the form of disposed tyres, by pyrolysis in a pyrolysis reactor[1] ”, is called CFC (Carbonized by Forced Convection).
CFC technology has been patented in a total of 19 countries.
Waste-to-Resources Technologies such as that of Ecolomondo will play a fundamental role in the expansion of the circular economy.
For more than 25 years, Ecolomondo has invested considerable resources to develop its Thermal Decomposition Technology. “Our dedicated technical teams have been instrumental in systematically overcoming critical operational challenges in process optimization, security and automation, still plaguing many other pyrolysis companies” says Eliot Sorella, CEO of Ecolomondo.
Ecolomondo offers a robust and sustainable solution to responsibly process scrap tire waste to create quality recycled end products, including carbon black that would be re-used to manufacture new products. To achieve this important milestone, we must all be mindful that the quality of recycled resources must be of such quality that they meet industry standards.
Ecolomondo has been very proactive in this area of end product quality and believes that its achievements have been ground-breaking, especially with its recycled carbon black. Ecolomondo’s “Mondo Black” achieves the quality standards that is needed to achieve market acceptance.
Mars Mineral provides agitation agglomeration solutions to improve the material handling and processing characteristics of dust, fines and powders. Established in 1972, Mars Mineral’s technology is utilized in numerous bulk material processing applications. Our continuous agglomeration process produces a spherical pellet that meets rCB application requirements in size and crush strength.
Our services include product development, testing, equipment rental and field technical services. The combination of these services provides the customer with a full scope of technical expertise along with an extensive history in processing powders. Agitation agglomeration is normally the least expensive process to convert dry fines into powders, requiring less power requirements, horsepower and component wear than other agglomeration processes. Whether it’s improving followability, minimizing airborne contamination, densifying materials or creating new products this expertise has improved our customers’ bottom line.
